Terms of Service

By using tokentrace you agree to these terms. Read them — they're short.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using tokentrace (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What the Service does

tokentrace provides SDK instrumentation and a dashboard for observing LLM API calls. By default, the full content of LLM requests and responses is recorded as trace data and stored in your project. You are responsible for configuring PII redaction if your use case requires it. See the Privacy Policy for details.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys.
• You must notify us immediately of unauthorized access at security@tokentrace.app.
• One account per person. Automated account creation is prohibited.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

• Trace LLM calls that generate illegal content
• Attempt to access other users' trace data
• Reverse-engineer or scrape the dashboard in automated ways
• Resell access to the Service without a written agreement
• Exceed plan limits through automated circumvention

5. Data ownership

You own the data you send to tokentrace. We do not claim any ownership over your traces, prompts, or completions. We process them solely to provide the Service.

6. Uptime and SLA

We target 99.9% dashboard availability. The SDK is designed to be non-blocking — a tokentrace outage will not cause your LLM calls to fail. Trace data may be delayed but not lost during platform incidents.

7. Billing

Free plan limits are enforced at the trace ingestion layer. Exceeding limits on a paid plan may result in overage charges as described on the pricing page. Plans renew monthly. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data is deleted per the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, tokentrace is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including data loss or LLM cost overruns.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
